Our analysis navigates through the rich tapestry of public feedback on the ConnectRVA 2045 Long-Range Transportation Plan, offering a unique lens into the community’s perspective on transportation development in Richmond, VA.

Housing Price Forecasting

This project forecasts the Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI) across the Richmond Region, providing a comprehensive estimate of real housing prices by ZIP code. Leveraging advanced forecasting model Facebook Prophet, the project not only forecasts future housing prices but also assesses model accuracy and growth potential across the Richmond region.

Environmental Planning: Usage of Satellite Imagery

Wildfire Risk Assessment

Implemented using the Google Earth Engine platform and Python libraries such as Folium for visualization, this project involves the usage of satellite imagery from past 20 years, to identify most wildfire prone locations in the region.

Analyzing the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19

This research paper explores how COVID-19 has exposed and further exacerbated social inequalities in the US, with a focus on how racial disparities and economic disparities have disproportionately affected the people of the US. The paper, through a county-level quantitative spatial analysis, examines the specific incidence of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations highlighting the need for social change.
